Iowa State Fair
The 2022 Iowa State Fair will run from August 11th to August 21st. This is an Iowa staple and can be fun for everyone! How many of the 69 different foods-on-a-stick can you find?
Our musts: The Butter Cow, watch a guy with a chainsaw make amazing sculptures, see GIANT produce, Iowa IPA Beer Tent, slide down a huge slide on an empty burlap sack, margaritas, pork-chop on a stick, fried Oreos, the giant bull, the giant hog, the art building/photography center and getting to leave after a very long day haha. But in all honesty, The Iowa State Fair is super fun and world renowned!

Hurts Donut Company
Just a few minutes walk from The Rewind Hotel, Hurts Donuts has your late night, or really any time of day snacking covered. Let’s face it, a 24 hr donut store is a must! Kay’s fave is The Cookie Monster. Abe’s fave is The Homer Simpson.

Smash Park
Smash Park is a go-to for the entire family and is only a couple minutes drive away from the hotel. It features pickle-ball, arcade games, and other yard games. Whether you want to play, drink, or eat, Smash Park has something for everyone!

Jordan Creek Shopping Mall
Jordan Creek Town Center is about five minutes from the hotel and has many stores if you are in need of something while traveling or just want to enjoy some vacation shopping! The mall also has a Cinemark Movie Theatre if you want to catch a show!
